Petersburg’s Premiere Gym & Fitness Center

Who Are We?

Owner and operator, Calvin McIntyre is proud to have the area’s premiere fitness center. Family owned and operated, we help our members “Chase The Burn”.

Calvin decided to build a club that was different than the big impersonal chains.   The goal was to create a club where the area’s best staff would work with each member to develop individualized programs designed to help each member reach their own personal fitness goals. Bodies & Beyond Gym and Fitness Center is located on Petersburg’s business corridor of South Crater Rd with easy access from I-95/I-295 and Ft. Lee Military Base.

We recognize that everyone coming through our doors may not have the knowledge necessary to achieve their fitness goals.  This is why we take a personal approach to every client, assessing their fitness level and concerns and then suggesting an appropriate workout regiment.   We also provide personal one-on-one training and a workout designed for each individual, including healthy eating plans, monitoring of body fat, BMI percentages and photo tracking their progress.    We have several membership options including senior and daily rates as well as 24 hour access. In additional we offer services such as smoothie bar, healthy snacks, fitness gear and gift cards.

Bodies & Beyond also host many special events such as:

  • Fitness Party – Good food & Fun exercises/dance.
  • Ladies Nite Out – Exercise featuring Belly Dancing.
  • High Impact – Early morning group classes
  • Annual Health Fair – Community working out, Kid focused fun and vendors selling natural and/or healthy products.

We have personal trainers that are certified in Personal Training as well as a certified Post Rehabilitative Exercise Specialist.   Recognizing every body is unique, and so is yours; from genetics, past history, injuries, etc. we design your routine for your body in order to accomplish the fitness level you desire.
